Felicity-Franklin FFA’s Sarah Hoog had the opportunity to work for the Ohio Farm Bureau at the Ohio State Fair in early August. She worked as a Fair Ambassador for Clermont County with 22 other ambassadors in the Donahey Agriculture and Horticulture Building. While there, Hoog worked different stations including the topographical sandbox, tractor simulator, and grocery store. Sarah was given the chance to speak with Senator Rob Portman as she helped lead him on a tour of the building. When asked why she enjoyed working at the state fair, Sarah responded, “I enjoyed working at the state fair because it teaches people of all ages different aspects of agriculture in a way that they can relate to and enjoy. Whether it be driving a pedal tractor or doing a simulation, the Land and Living Exhibit has a way to teach everyone about agriculture.”
