The elementary math team hosted our traditional Halloween Family Math Night on October 18th. It was a big event with approximately one hundred families in attendance. Students wore their costumes and enjoyed math games in their math teacher’s classroom. There were several activities including a scavenger hunt, bingo, Miss Snider’s spider bullseye game and the haunted hallway! One of the new highlights this year was the photo booth. Students and their families posed for pictures that placed them in a Halloween scene courtesy of the green screen operated by our Technology Integration Specialist, Michael Roush. Natalie Bendgen, from the Felicity Public Library, also participated by sharing information about Family Literacy Night held at the public library every Tuesday as well providing a drawing for some special prizes won by Quentin O’Brien! Every month, one of our staff or community groups hosts our Family Night at the elementary. Information is sent home with the students in advance and shared on our district website through the live feed elementary announcements as well as on our Felicity Elementary Facebook page. It is a great time for families to be a part of our school community where learning is a lot of fun!
