We want to acknowledge how grateful we are for our school board members and their service for our students. The news article shared on our website, "Get to Know Your School Board Members” makes it clear that the job of the school board member is a "work of heart" with each of ours already having full time jobs and families outside of the work they do for our school. Our elementary students say THANK YOU (and a few students provide some insight about the role of a school board member :) in this video link. It's a little blurry, but we hope you will still enjoy it. https://drive.google.com/file/d/19MuVJD0K-Cc6U7usMGaKnckmyNNL72Jg/view?usp=sharing

Good afternoon students, Unfortunately, we must postpone the homecoming dance a second time. In fairness, the noon weather report calls for rain and freezing rain to begin in our area throughout the morning hours and then becoming snow around 5-8pm with the heaviest snowfall to occur from 8pm-midnight. After the snow moves through temperatures will drop to brutally cold temperatures through the rest of the weekend. These will not be safe conditions for you to be out in, I care about your safety. Student safety is my number one priority. In fairness, to all our volunteers, parents who must pick-up flowers, hair appointments, picture and dinner arrangements, etc. This decision needs to come no later than lunchtime the day preceding. The dance is rescheduled for next Saturday, 1/26/2019 from 8-11pm in the Elementary Cafetorium. If you're traveling to CNE tonight to support the basketball team, travel safe, I look forward to seeing you there. Please stay safe and warm this weekend. BW

January is school board member appreciation month. Board members have an important role in student learning and the future of Ohio’s approximately 1.6 million schoolchildren. More than 3,400 Ohio school board members lead so students can achieve by participating in district, board and community events while balancing job, personal and family responsibilities. Their role requires them to stay up-to-date on the latest educational and district-related issues, typically with minimal pay and long hours. Their important work has the power to change the future of their community; yet, board members often are not thanked for their dedication. Please join me in thanking our Felicity Franklin School Board Members: Yvonne Baker, Randy McElfresh, Jenny Broadwell, Andy Ninichuck, and Terry Lowe.
