Good afternoon Class of 2021 Families, I desperately need Seniors and their families to take some time to sit with their graduate and complete the forms for each Senior event linked in the letter. https://docs.google.com/document/d/13rGxQ6oOggYPN4qIe1cBiKsRwYzwLpogUrgJ2hHzixo/edit?usp=sharing I cannot express how important this is to the planning requirements for graduation and these events. I do not want any Senior or their family to have a disappointing experience or find themselves or family members left out, because they did not communicate and we were thus unable to meet and/or plan for the current requirements. It is my hope that through proper planning, families can be catered to first and community members or at-large attendance may happen after where possible. Senior families, please take care of this TODAY! The first event is this coming Monday, 5/3/2021, and we need Seniors to respond! Sincerely, Principal Walker

Good afternoon, Felicity Schools are experiencing a staffing shortage in the high school for part or all of this week. Because of this it is necessary to move the high school students and staff to remote learning starting Monday, January 25 through Friday, January 29. High school students and staff will follow our remote learning plan as used prior to Christmas break. High school students and staff will return to in person learning on Monday, February 1. The middle school and elementary staff and students will report to school on their regular schedule. Bus routes for the middle school and elementary will run on their regular schedules. In the interest of providing the best student experience possible, evening games and activities will continue as planned for this week. However, spirit week and homecoming activities will be postponed until students return to in-person learning.

Good Afternoon Cardinal Families. During the holiday break, the district is still expected to track and manage positive COVID-19 cases, as well as required quarantines for close contacts. If your student(s) or anyone in your household test positive for COVID 19, or are exposed to someone who has tested positive at any time during the break, please call the district COVID 19 reporting line at (513) 876-2113 and follow these procedures: 1. Select a building from the menu 2. Select option 1 3. Leave a message with the details of positive a test or exposure (e.g., test date, exposure date). The district does not need any identifying information for the confirmed COVID-positive person to whom your student(s) were exposed. All messages will go directly to Tiffany Peron’s (district nurse) office phone. She will check messages periodically during the break and will make contact with the individual reporting and/or the health department, as necessary. I wish you all a safe and happy holiday! Good afternoon, Cardinal families. I want to remind you that next Tuesday, December 8th, is our district-wide PRACTICE remote learning day. Students will NOT come to school that day, but they will be expected to participate in remote learning as described in the earlier released student and parent remote learning expectations. Students will return to school on Wednesday, December 9th. Bus drivers will be practicing the food drop-off plan on Tuesday, as well. Our plan is to have bus drivers deliver food to each CURRENT bus stop. Buses will begin deliveries at 2:30pm. For Tuesday’s practice run, only families who contact Michelle Hazelbaker at utterm@felicityohioschools.org will receive meals. Based on what we learn from the practice day, the district will be re-releasing the Remote Learning Plan with additional information and details.

Good afternoon, With Thanksgiving only a few days away, I want to say thank you to the entire Felicity Schools staff for all they have done this school year to keep our students safe and in our buildings learning. I also want to say thank you to our students and our families as they have teamed with us to keep Felicity Schools open for students to attend every day. I am sure you have heard through the media all the data and warnings promoting safe practices during the holiday season. I would ask that all of us remain mindful and diligent in keeping our students, staff, and community safe. The safer we keep each other, the more likely we are to keep our school doors open for daily, in-person learning. We will be able to have winter sports and activities. We will be able to provide our students the best school experience possible, given these strange and challenging times. Let’s continue to work together to keep Felicity Schools open. Thank you, and have safe and happy Thanksgiving

Good Afternoon Cardinal Families Although there is no intent at this time to move our students to the remote learning platform, I do feel it is prudent for our district to continue to plan and prepare should it be necessary. As a part of that planning, Felicity Schools will have a “remote learning practice day” on Tuesday, December 8th. Students in grades K-12 will stay home on December 8th and will follow the remote learning expectations that have been both posted and E-mailed. Students will return to school on Wednesday, December 9th. At that time, we will be able to assess any technology issues and work toward potential solutions. There is still work to be done between now and December 8th. We are working on a plan for iPad/Chromebook distribution in the elementary. We will be collecting information from students/families, regarding internet accessibility etc. We will be releasing our food delivery plan prior to the 8Th. It is very important that your student(s) actively participate in this practice day. Teachers and administrators will take what we learn from the practice day to improve the remote learning experience for our students. Felicity-Franklin Schools, though hopeful we won’t have to move to remote, is committed to providing a quality remote learning experience for both students and families.

Good Afternoon Cardinal Families. You may be aware that New Richmond Schools are planning to go to a remote learning model for their students beginning Nov. 23 and will remain on that model until Dec. 7. I am also confident that you have heard of other districts moving to remote learning. At this time, Felicity Schools are remaining open for students to attend every day. Due to the uncertainty of the current virus spread, this is subject to change in a very short period of time. With this in mind, the district will be releasing a detailed remote learning plan. This plan will explain, in detail, the expectations for students, parents, and staff, should we move to a remote learning model for our students. It is my goal to have this plan to you by tomorrow (Thurs. Nov. 19). Like any plan, and certainly during these times, there will be scenarios that do not fit neatly inside it. Please know that, by working with your building principals and myself, we will solve unanticipated problems. Because remote learning is a possibility down the road, it is important that we know families are fully prepared to move to this model, if necessary. Please contact the front office of your child’s school if your family needs assistance in accessing WiFi service (hotspots). Once again, I want to emphasize that Felicity Schools are not moving to, nor is there an anticipated date, to move to a remote learning model at this time.
