Federal Eligibility Income
The Federal Government has begun offering schools discounts up to 80% on telecommunication purchases such as internet services, telephone equipment/service, telecommunication software, etc. These discounts are based on the income levels of the families of each school district. The income level guidelines for these discounts are the same as those used for qualifying for the Federal “Free or Reduced Lunch Program.”
If your current financial situation meets the criteria listed on the Federal Income chart (shown above), please use the form in the link below to apply. This is the same application families can use to apply for the federal lunch program. Applications can be turned in at any of the building offices. Please contact your students building office if you need assistance with the application.
Free or Reduced Meal Eligibility
Over the last two school years student meals were free for all students. Unfortunately, this benefit has been eliminated by the state and meals are no longer free for all students. Felicity Franklin Local Schools offers healthy meals each school day. Breakfast costs students $1.00, lunch costs K-4 students $2.75 and 5-12 students $3.00. We encourage families that financially qualify for the federal free and reduced lunch program (see chart above) to submit an application to the school (see link below). Your child’s application is only valid for the current school year. You are required to submit a new application each year unless the school tells you that your child is eligible for the new school year.
Additionally, all children in households receiving benefits from the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) or Ohio Works First (OWF); foster children that are under the legal responsibility of a foster care agency or court; children participating in their school’s Head Start program; and children who meet the definition of homeless, runaway, or migrant, are eligible for free meals.
