Felicity-Franklin Local School District is proud to announce that it has received the prestigious Auditor of State Award for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2024. This honor is presented to public entities across Ohio that achieve excellence in financial reporting and compliance.

To earn this award, entities must meet stringent criteria demonstrating a commitment to transparency, accountability, and sound fiscal management. Felicity-Franklin Local Schools successfully filed its financial reports on time and in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) using the Hinkle System. Most notably, the district’s audit report was free from any findings for recovery, material citations, weaknesses, or questioned costs.

The award also signifies that the district’s audit included no management letter comments related to ethics referrals, reporting delays, bank reconciliation issues, or public meeting and records violations. In short, the district met every benchmark of financial integrity and operational excellence.

“I am incredibly proud of our treasurer’s office and administrative team for their diligence and commitment to maintaining the highest standards of fiscal responsibility,” said Treasurer Christy Laubach. “This award reflects the hard work and dedication behind the scenes to ensure that every taxpayer dollar is managed with care and integrity.”

This recognition is a testament not only to the treasurer’s office for their strong financial leadership, but also to the entire Felicity-Franklin staff for their consistent commitment to following procedures that support responsible resource management, student success, and community trust. This award truly reflects a team effort—congratulations to all who made it possible!
