Felicity FFA Year In Review

In November 2021, Felicity FFA members competed in the District Food Science and Technology CDE. According to the National FFA Organization, “The Food Science and Technology Career Development Event (CDE) requires students to have an in-depth understanding of food product development, food presentation and food safety issues.” 

The team placed first at districts. Team members were Luke Jennings (1st Ind.), Trinity Evans (2nd Ind.), Emily Hardewig (3rd Ind.), Audrey Pinger (5th Ind.), Alisha Boone (9th Ind) and Landon Brill (14th Ind.).

The team advanced to compete at the State level Food Science CDE, where they came out as Second Place in Ohio. Individually, Luke Jennings placed 1st in the competition. Emily Hardewig was 8th individual, Trinity Evans was 11th individual, and Audrey Pinger placed 16th individual.  

This team will advance to the national competition for second place teams at The Big E competitions next fall.
