COVID-19 GUIDELINES UPDATE 2022-2023

As the new school year begins, the Ohio Department of Health (ODH) shared with us updated recommendations for ongoing prevention of COVID-19 spread in schools.

These steps will help keep students, staff, and our community safe, while also keeping students learning in the classroom throughout the year.

Felicity Schools will follow the recommendations below:

  • When identified as a close contact, students/staff may attend school and will not be required to wear a mask.

  • Mask to Stay, Test to Play quarantine alternative for schools is NO longer in effect.

  • Students/Staff will ONLY quarantine with a positive test. They will quarantine for 5 days at home (or until fever-free for 24 hours). They may then return to school, but will be required to wear a mask for 5 days.  On day six, you can choose to take a series of two COVID tests 48 hours apart. If both tests are negative, wearing a mask will no longer be required.

  • Felicity Schools is no longer required to report individual cases to the health department. Schools are required to report only if there are a significant number of cases in an age group or specific population (ex. Classroom).

  • If a COVID take home test is needed, please contact Tiffany Peron (513-362-5354) or the Felicity Branch Public Library.

As always, please keep your child home if they are showing symptoms of illness such as fever, vomiting, etc.

Working together, we can make Felicity Schools a safe and healthy environment for all.
