7-12 Grade Parents and Students,
As of today, we have missed eight days of school due to snow and poor weather conditions this winter. The forecast for next week is not looking promising, so we want to be prepared in case school must be canceled again.

We are asking all students to take their Chromebooks home over the weekend. If school is closed due to weather, teachers will post assignments online for students to complete. The assignments will be posted each day by 8am.

While we know this cannot replace the value of in-person instruction, these assignments will help students stay engaged and continue learning. Teachers will treat this work as enrichment to reinforce essential skills and concepts.

Thank you for your flexibility and support as we navigate this winter season together.

Sincerely,
Casey T. Smith

Elementary Message---
Good afternoon parents and students,

As of today, we have missed eight days of school due to snow and poor weather conditions this winter. The forecast for next week is not looking promising, so we want to be prepared in case school must be canceled again.

We are asking all students to take home paper learning packets on blue or green colorful paper over the weekend. If school is closed due to weather, we ask that students complete the assignments in these packets. Students and teachers have been working so hard to get all of the standards covered/taught/learned there will be less time to review taught concepts before testing and the end of the year.

All assignments will be review material of previously taught grade-level content and are designed to reinforce essential skills and concepts. While we know this cannot replace the value of in-person instruction, this work will help students stay engaged and continue learning during any weather-related closures.

Thank you for your flexibility and continued support as we navigate this winter season together.

Sincerely,
Dar Porter
