Counselor Quote of the Day: The solution to most of our deepest troubles is simple, human courage. The courage to look inward. The courage to take those first bold steps. The courage to find the thing you fear most and charge heroically toward it.
-Beau Taplin

Dear Cardinal Family,
Today we practiced our lockdown and barricade safety drill at ~10:00 am. Our procedures have been developed with the coordination of local and county law enforcement. Our training and procedures are based on data and the current best practices available. Safety trainings are necessary and help us to ensure student and staff safety in the event of an actual emergency.
In addition to practice and training, we work hard every day to establish positive working relationships with students and families. Preventative measures help us to assure our school is a safe and caring place where every student has at least one trusted adult. Prevention happens when students are able to come forward with information, recognize warning signs, and share information that allows our school community to intervene and help individuals long before they reach a crisis or tipping point. This is everyone’s responsibility and is at the very core of our business, we are a school community that cares about the whole child first.
In the event that a student or parent wishes to make a report during non-school hours please remember to use the Safe School Tip Line at 844-723-3764.
Thank you for helping us keep school a safe place to learn!

Counselor Quote of the Day: If you're always thinking about what can go wrong, you miss out on all the things that could go right.

2nd grade is wild about weather! They learned how clouds are formed and got to create their own clouds! Definitely the highlight of their day! If your child is in second grade, ask them about what they learned about clouds!

We are partner reading and investigating fiction text looking for fiction story elements.

Counselor Quote of the Day: Positivity attracts positivity. Keep smiling and doing things that make you happy, even when you're in a bad mood.

Counselor Quote of the Day: Integrity is choosing courage over comfort; it's choosing what's right over what's fun, fast, or easy; and it's practicing your values, not just professing them.
