Happy Friday Cardinal Families!
Teachers and their instruction have the greatest impact on student learning and growth. Many other factors impact students, but none of which we have so much control over than our instruction... when, what, and how we teach our students.
I wanted to share a little bit about our upcoming plans for Student Engagement and Culture Growth & Development in our schools.
At the June 24th meeting, the Board of Education approved six two-hour early release days to support these initiatives this school year.

These two-hour early release days will give our teachers time to collaborate and plan strategies to enhance student engagement in their lessons.
Starting next week, our leadership team will begin non-evaluative and peer walkthroughs focusing on student engagement strategies, cooperative learning, and feedback for teachers.
We understand that two-hour early release days may require adjustments to your schedule. We are exploring options to provide some assistance with childcare for families in need. We appreciate your understanding and support as we work to create the best possible learning environment for our students.
Thank you for your partnership in this important work. I wish you a happy and safe holiday weekend!
