Good Afternoon, Cardinal Families. Please find the attached Remote Learning Expectations. This is only an informational document so that parents and students may know the expectations of a remote learning environment, should the district have to go remote in the future. I once again want to emphasize that, at this time, there is NO intent OR a specific future date that the district intends to move students to a remote learning environment. This is solely an informational document. This document can also be found on the district website under news. Good Afternoon Cardinal Families. You may be aware that New Richmond Schools are planning to go to a remote learning model for their students beginning Nov. 23 and will remain on that model until Dec. 7. I am also confident that you have heard of other districts moving to remote learning. At this time, Felicity Schools are remaining open for students to attend every day. Due to the uncertainty of the current virus spread, this is subject to change in a very short period of time. With this in mind, the district will be releasing a detailed remote learning plan. This plan will explain, in detail, the expectations for students, parents, and staff, should we move to a remote learning model for our students. It is my goal to have this plan to you by tomorrow (Thurs. Nov. 19). Like any plan, and certainly during these times, there will be scenarios that do not fit neatly inside it. Please know that, by working with your building principals and myself, we will solve unanticipated problems. Because remote learning is a possibility down the road, it is important that we know families are fully prepared to move to this model, if necessary. Please contact the front office of your child’s school if your family needs assistance in accessing WiFi service (hotspots). Once again, I want to emphasize that Felicity Schools are not moving to, nor is there an anticipated date, to move to a remote learning model at this time.
