Many students come to school each day and not only get education, but also access to many other resources including nutritional meals. I’m happy to say that our community is full of good people who are looking to help and support their neighbors. The United Methodist Church in collaboration with FFLSD will be offering to-go meals for students on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 2pm for pick-up only (at the church). Meals will include a to-go breakfast for the following day. The United Methodist Church will continue their Saturday meals for anyone by pick-up only between 11am-1pm as well.

Dear Parents and Guardians Felicity-Franklin school buildings will NOT be open to serve students or the public beginning Monday March 16 and will re-open on Monday April 6. During those weeks, the district will be providing remote learning opportunities for our students. Staff will have weekly or daily activities and lessons posted and available to students no later than close of business on Monday March 16 and Monday March 30. There is no expectation for lessons the week of March 23 due to that being spring break. Teachers are expected to be “electronically on duty” from the hours of 9am to 3pm Monday-Friday for the weeks of March 16 and March 30. Students/Parents are encouraged to email teachers for support with their lessons during those hours. Teachers’ email addresses can be found on the district website. Some teachers have provided paper lessons while others will have online lessons for the students with chrome books. All students in grades 5-12 have been allowed to take their chrome books home. Please encourage your student to log in to their accounts regularly and do the assignments. For our K-4 parents, in addition to the work teachers have provided, we encourage you to check live feed and other forms of district communication for updated activities. Teachers will have third quarter grades posted to Progress Book no later than 3:00 pm on Friday, March 20. Please email your building’s secretary if you have problems logging in to your account. Students are not to be in the building between March 16 and April 6. All programs, events, practices and games are suspended during this time. The district office will be open on a limited basis. Because of this, I encourage you to call ahead to make sure we are available to serve your needs. I will continue to update you as additional information and questions surface. Please contact my office if you have any questions or concerns. Dave Gibson, Superintendent

Amidst all the current events, staff members still taking time to support student initiatives! FCCLA sold goodies and tickets for a chance to pie a staff member! Good fun, plus who doesn’t like whipped cream?!?!
