Here is some guidance on student work permits from the Ohio Department of Education. If you have any questions, please email stamperk@felicityschools.org 34. How can students go about obtaining a work permit under Ohio's Minor Labor Laws if schools are closed? According to the Ohio Department of Commerce, if a minor has all necessary paperwork completed and is unable to get the permit processed due to school closure, the completed paperwork may itself stand in the place of the physically printed permit. Employers should keep the paperwork on file, just like they would the permit. The formal permit should be processed as soon as the school is reopened. As a reminder, hour restrictions outlined in Ohio Revised Code Section 4109 are still in place for any week that was not a pre-planned school holiday (i.e., spring break) and the prohibited/hazardous occupation restrictions are still active. Good afternoon FFHS Students, It was good to see some of you in the Google Meet earlier today. I look forward to doing another one next week to touch base and answer questions. As we all have to make adjustments to our lives right now, please do your part to keep up with your schoolwork. Attached are some important links for you to stay informed and get help from teachers. Please remember you need to check your school email as well. Remember to be helpful at home and if you need anything please reach out to me or one of your teachers... we are helpers by nature.
