Felicity Franklin Board of Education members honored during School Board Recognition Month
January is School Board Recognition Month, and Felicity Franklin Local Schools is celebrating its board members for their dedication and commitment to the district and its students.
The dedication and commitment of our school board members help shape the future of our schools and students. Their focus is always on helping all our students be successful in their future endeavors. Celebrating School Board Recognition Month is one way to say thanks for all they do. Serving as a link between the community and classroom, school board members are elected to establish the policies that provide the framework for public schools.
Even though we make a special effort to show our appreciation in January, their contribution is a year-round commitment. Please thank our board members and let them know we support them and appreciate their service to our district.
Current Felicity Franklin Board of Education members and a personal quote regarding why they chose to serve our district is included below:
Andy Ninichuck, President (7 Years of Service)
“I decided to serve because education is the foundation for kids to become successful adults. Our job is to maintain standards and accountability to prepare our students for life after school.”
Randy McElfresh, Vice President (9 Years of Service)
“My main reason for wanting to hold a position on the board was to help maintain conservative values which I think is the cornerstone of our community. In addition, having a part in seating our new superintendent was also a great thing to be a part of. With the people we have in place, Felicity Franklin has a very bright future!”
Yvonne Baker, Member (12 Years of Service)
“I serve on the Board of Education at Felicity Franklin to give back to the community that shaped me. The opportunities I and my family received were life-changing, and I’m committed to ensuring future generations have access to the same or even greater opportunities to succeed.”
Jenny Broadwell- Member (9 Years of Service)
"I believe in the power of education! I am a teacher myself, and have always felt that it was important to have an educator who understands to be on every school board. Even though I do not teach in this community, being on the school board allows me to be a part of this school’s decisions and do something that, even though it can bring about very difficult decisions, I love to do. "
Sabrina Schnarrenberg, Member (3 Years of Service)
"After serving my country in the United States Army, serving our community as a Board of Education member has given me the platform to serve and support the education of our children."
Thank you for your commitment to our school and our students!
